I know very little about vintage racing. I also know very little about historical European hill climbs. I’m wondering if the Oppo hivemind knows any history about the above and below Alfa. Specifically I’m looking for some color pictures. Thanks in advance!

N o pics. If it’s any help though, pretty sure that’s Pe ter Seeger’s name on the rear quarter.

I posted those exact pictures exactly one month ago on another Oppo thread !

Peter Seeger at the Turckeim   Trois-Épis 1971 hillclimb on a GTA 1300 (posted some other rad pictures from this topic 2 days ago on this reply ).

There are also some other pictures of him and his Alfa GTA on the topic :

Peter Seeger at the Turckeim Trois-Épis 1974 hillclimb on a GTA 1300 or 1600?

There is an article from 2011 on him in German .

Oh sweet! Are #79 and #75 different cars? I’m really trying to find a color picture of 75 for a custom diecast project. I’m stumped. I just need an idea of its color.

While it’s not an answer to the question, the Beetle at 5:00 and the Mini at 5:20 have a design that is vaguely similar to the one of the Alfa of 1971 :

ps: the car from 1974 have both mirrors while the one from 1971 only have the driver side, not sure if it was a legal requirement for new cars after a certain year but i doubt it would have been added on a racecar.

I noticed the one mirror. My wife thinks it’s army green or darkish  blue while I think it might be a brick red

He was also listed in the entry list of the 1974   ADAC Schauinsland hillclimb (he was also listed in 1969 with a Porsche 911T ) : http://www.euromontagna.com/results.php?id_race=58&lng=4

Could be s omewhere in this video, i am too lazy to watch it all right now :

So he is German and was doing hillclimbs in Germany and France (Turckheim is in Alsace, close to the border) in Alfa(s) in at least 1971 and 1974, you can try to search for pictures/videos from this era .
